WHAT HAPPENED IS TRUE: That’s what the poster claims. But was it?
Spoiler alert: It wasn’t. Back in the 70’s you could say whatever shit you wanted to and it was more fun that way. And seriously, serial killer fun was had at the drive-ins those hot summer 1970s nights. However, it was “inspired” by some real murderous stuff, just happens to be the same guy who “inspired” the character Norman Bates in Psycho. Who's up for a double feature?
WHAT HAPPENED IS TRUE: At least, the fine people of Austin, Texas, would like you to think it was.
Spoiler alert: We don’t care that it wasn’t a true story, but we love barbecue, Austin, and we most definitely love the barbecue scenes in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which were all filmed in Austin, Texas. Nothing “inspired” here, just the real film locations outlined right here. Who’s up for a road trip?

(Missed, forgotten, overlooked, or hidden gems.)
James Taylor by James Taylor-1968/Apple: “The Astonishing Debut Album” is how udiscovermusic.com describes it, and we at The Throne totally agree. It’s always been one of our favorite, if not the favorite, J.T. albums. By now, you probably know that Paul McCartney and George Harrison discovered James, but if not, read about that and all about this still “Astonishing” album here with links to the album as well.
